Our world is filled with hurting people. Many have been hurt through painful parental relationships. Others have been hurt by family members, children, peers, or abrasive teachers. Unfortunately, the wounds inflicted by these have hindered many from seeing the world clearly or experiencing the joy of the Christian life.
Jesus Christ came to make us whole. Through salvation, He made a way for us to experience wholeness in every area of life. God wants us to be whole spiritually, mentally, socially, physically, and financially. Through knowledge and the consistent application of God’s Word, we can become whole in Christ!
In addition to our wholeness, God wants us to be equipped and empowered for service in the Kingdom of God. The Bible tells us that pastors have been placed in the Body of Christ to equip the saints for the work of the ministry.
Ephesians 4:11-12
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ...
It was never God’s intent for ministry to be confined to just a few privileged individuals. Ministry and serving God are the birthright, privilege, and responsibility of every believer.
It is clear that God created us with unique gifts and talents. At Abundant Life, we are committed to helping you discover your gifts, refine them, and use them for the glory of God. There is no greater fulfillment in life than to use your gifts and talents to serve the King of kings and Lord of lords!
