Thailand

Thailand is located in Southeast Asia bordering Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Malaysia. It has a population of about 64 million people.  The dominant religion is Buddhism with a blending of animism, spirit and ancestor worship. Over 90 percent of the population considers themselves to be Buddhist.

Thailand is a rich harvest field with beautiful people who need to be reached with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Revs. Keith and Sharon Higginbotham are reaching the heart of this great nation. They pastor Rhema Bible Church in the capital city of Bangkok. This city has a population of about 12 million people with the vast majority confessing Buddhism. They are doing a great work and winning many souls for the Kingdom of God.

Brother Keith also serves as the dean of Rhema Bible Training Center Thailand. This school is designed to train and equip national Thai leaders to reach all over the nation. Many churches and ministries have been planted through this great school.

Russia

rick rennerRussia is the largest country in the world covering almost twice the territory of the next largest country. It has a population of about 142 million people. The people of Russia are hungry for the Word of God and open to the Gospel. Since the fall of Communism, evangelistic work has increased but much more needs to be done.

God called Rick and Denise Renner to move to Russia and pioneer The Good News Church Moscow. Since the doors opened, God has truly blessed their ministry work. In addition to the church, Rick and Denise started “The Good News Association” - a fellowship designed to unite ministers all over the nation. With a membership of more that 700, The Good News Association is training ministers and leaders to be more effective in the work of the Lord.

Rick and Denise also produce a television broadcast seen by millions of Russians each week.  Every week souls are being saved and lives are being transformed through this powerful ministry outreach.

Mission Trips
Thailand and Malaysia 2007

In February of this year, Brandon (our Youth Minister) and I traveled to Thailand and Malaysia. We began our ministry time in Thailand where we preached in two different churches on Sunday morning. We shared about the healing power of God and ministered to the sick. It was powerful to see God heal His children and demonstrate His goodness.

The following week I had the privilege of preaching for Rhema Bible Training Center, Thailand. We spent the whole week teaching and encouraging the students of this great bible school. As I ministered the Word of God, it was awesome to realize that these students would take the Word of God to the four corners of Thailand. I was honored to have a part in “teaching all nations” and “making disciples” (Matthew 28:18-20).

After our time in Thailand, we flew to Malaysia. Here we ministered in three different churches and sought to uplift and encourage the saints.  In one church, we ministered on healing and prayed for the sick. Again, God was faithful and bodies were healed. In another church, we shared about God’s desire to bless His children. It was rewarding to see the faces of people light up as they received revelation knowledge.

Moscow 2003

In 2003, I had the privilege of visiting and ministering for our missionary in Moscow. I attended two church services where around 30 people responded to the altar call for salvation. It was a beautiful sight to see lives being transformed by the power of the Gospel.

During the trip, I also attended a Minister’s Meeting that Rick Renner hosted. Pastors and church leaders traveled from all over the nation to attend this meeting. Some of them rode on a train for hours just to be a part. It was a powerful time and ministers were trained, revved up, and encouraged.

I also had the privilege of ministering the Word of God at Good News Church in Moscow. I shared a message on “Defeating Renegade Thoughts” designed to help believers control their thought life. The people were very attentive and receptive to the Word of God. It also touched my heart when several Russians came to tell me how the message had changed their life. Of course, we had to communicate through an interpreter!
